Redmi Note 12 Pro+ with 200MP camera is launching in India soon: Heres what we know

A few months after its debut in China, the Redmi Note 12 series is finally coming to India and as per tipster Mukul Sharma, it won’t take much time before the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and its siblings would cross borders. He tweeted about the same exuding a fair bit of confidence in the news. Now, the only bit of confusion based on what we have heard before, is that the top-end Pro+ model could see a rebadging for the Indian market. Here’s what that rebranding could be like and along with it see everything else we know about the forthcoming Redmi Note 12 lineup.

[Exclusive] Can confirm that the Redmi Note 12 series is coming soon to India. The Indian variant of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will feature a 200MP main camera. Will share more details soon. Feel free to retweet #RedmiNote12series #RedmiNote

The front of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ could include a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen. The panel could also come with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and 900 nits of peak brightness. The selfie shooter residing here could hold a 16MP sensor.

However, the main attraction, in terms of optics, is expected to be on the back — a 200-megapixel camera. This will be the leader of a triple-camera system.

Now, as far as internals are concerned, the handset could be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor coupled with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.

The speculations also suggest MIUI 13 software, WiFi 6, 5G, and Bluetooth 5.2.

Now, when it comes to pricing, we have nothing but just the Chinese price. In the home market, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ started at CNY 2,099 (~₹25,000) for the 8GB + 256GB model.

We will have to be a little patient to gain more details about the device. Mr Sharma has said that he will be bringing us more details about the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and the whole series. So, let’s wait.
