Moto G51 5G officially launched in India with Snapdragon 480 Plus chip: Price, specifications and availability

Motorola has launched the Moto G51 5G as their latest budget offering in India. The Moto G51 takes on the likes of the Realme 8 5G and Redmi Note 10T, to name a few. It is also the first phone to launch with the Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset in India. The G51 also supports 12 global 5G bands which means it is ready for next-generation internet connectivity whenever it goes live in the country.

The Moto G51 5G is priced at Rs 14,999 for the sole 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model. It will be exclusively available to purchase from Flipkart from December 16.

Moto G51 5G specifications

The Moto G51 5G features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ (2400x1080 pixels) resolution display that supports upto a 120Hz refresh rate and has a punch-hole notch cutout for the 13MP selfie camera. The phone measures 9.1mm in thickness and weighs 208 grams. It is also water-repellent but is not IP rated. The G51 is being offered in two colours: Aqua Blue and Indigo Blue.

Powering the Moto G51 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chip which has an octa-core CPU and Adreno 619 GPU. This is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with an option to expand the storage via a hybrid microSD card slot. It runs on stock Android 11.

There is a triple camera array on the back that consists of a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 118-degree FOV and a 2MP macro camera. The rear cameras can record in 1080p at upto 60FPS.

The power button doubles up as a fingerprint reader and the phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery but doesn’t support fast charging.
